The site uses two kinds of stylesheets: one for positioning elements, another for applying themes (colors and background graphics).
Themes can be changed on-the-fly with the column of seven squares on the left side of the page (try it out). New visitors are randomly assigned a theme, which remains active until they leave the site.
On their following visit, a different theme is used.
The six themes are:

Allium for grandma:
Chartreusy plant:
Red hot dictionary:
Thirsty around here:
Finally, the themes can be completely turned off:
