Hamburgery fun

Finally saw Super Size Me yesterday, and I must say, even if you were one of the lucky ones to catch this in the theater, run out and rent the DVD for the extras. Not only do you get to endure Morgan Spurlock's month-long McDonald's binge again (a medical odyssey one of his physicians compared to Nicholas Cage's moribund drinking spree in Leaving Las Vegas), but there's a lengthy interview with Eric Schlosser, and "The Smoking Fry," a damning science experiment gone horribly, horribly wrong. (By which I refer to the fries themselves, not what Morgan does.) I haven't eaten at McDo for almost ten years, but the addiction triggers are so strong that I still remember how good McNuggets tasted, and I worry about the few people I know who still eat them regularly. This movie should be watched while eating a really big organic spinach salad.
