Things to do outside of CHI

For those of you here for CHI: Looking for the obligatory sightseeing spots in Portland? These are all close to each other and a short, free MAX ride from the conference hotel:
The Diane Arbus exhibit at the Portland Art Museum. Downtown (map from conference hotel).
Powell's Books. West Burnside (map).
The Chinese Garden. Chinatown (map).

I love how the comments pop down when I'd like to post one. Very nice. I know CHI is over, but I just saw Arbus and just as (or more)interesting is the local Native exhibit, which leaves soon.
